@OdeTooJoy, you're right, but its not a far cry to call them hardcore. They're kind of somewhere in between hardcore and metalcore, like The Ghost Inside and those kind of bands. You can definitely hear the hardcore elements in their music that separate them from the commercial metalcore or scene metalcore sound, but then when you put them next to "true" hardcore bands they don't belong. Its really not worth arguing over though.

Addicted to Diamond and Against Them All, but that's really all so far. Album is good but hasn't struck me as amazing just yet

@screamy13 sir, nor did I mean any offense. You passed judgement on my knowledge so I felt the need to inform you on what you clearly misinterpreted. Getting into the definitive tag of what this band truly is can go on for hours, but there is an immense difference between Hardcore and (what I would call this band) Metalcore. All of these bands are a product of post-hardcore music but this band's sound has very little of the stronger ethics that a true hardcore band has. The scene that surrounds this band is highly seperate from the scene I personally refer to as Hardcore. While this band shares bills with the likes of For Today and A Skylit Drive, Hardcore bands such as Backtrack share the bill with Expire, Minus and Harm's way. There two very different scenes my friend, the latter being one I am VERY heavily involved in. I'm a photographer for Hardcore bands.

@OdeTooJoy Well...By seeing what you listen to,I can HARDLY believe that you're involved in hardcore scene..Top artists..Blink182?sum41?Jimmy Eat World?I don't mind you having a different opinion about the band, and it's awesome you gave them another chance, but they just doesn't suit you,but...I find your statement about hardcore scene involvement entertaining. Please,at least know what are you talking about, before posting.

Genuinely gave the Diamond album a listen and truly did not enjoy it. I recall years ago when my friend showed me this band. Immedietley they were unappealing to me. Being very involved in the Hardcore Scene, I find a lot of my friends raving about this band. I felt obligated to give them a chance one again with this new album and I can truly say, I'm not a fan. I think their amazing at what they do, but it's just not for me.
