Solitude Aeturnus est un groupe américain de Doom Metal fondé en 1987 à Arlington, Texas d’abord sous le nom de « Solitude ». C’est à partir de 1990 que le groupe devient « Solitude Aeturnus ».
Le chanteur, Robert Lowe, officie également au sein du célèbre groupe de doom Candlemass.

My best guess is that it's consider a classic, being one of the first two SA releases. My favorite album at this moment is Adagio, but I wouldn't consider BTCH their weakest. Personally, I don't think they have a weak album.

I'm curious, why does Beyond The Crimson Horizon garner so much praise? I like the album well enough, but I consider it their weakest effort personally. Admittedly, this may be because I'm stuck with the crap reissue by Metal Mind Productions. But ehh, I just can't put it on the same level as Into The Depths Of Sorrow, or Through The Darkest Hour.

I've been getting my hands on the SA demo tracks... The pre-Lowe demos aside, the demo versions always seem to be better than the final recordings. They just feel more doom-y... Or is that just me?
