So, this year we're celebrating this album's 10th anniversary.. That's almost nothing. But this means that in 990 years our children's children's children's children's children's children's ...... children are gonna celebrate the great 1000-th anniversary with fireworks (or launching DIY rockets), massive dancing & singing, smiling, happiest parade of millions with no drop of alcohol at all, just dancing & singing all over the planet... The only problem is to survive, though. So listen to more SR to be at peace.

I know this is pretty shameless self-promotion, but if you're into ambient/soundscapes/etc., you might like my new release, Summer Ghosts. It's ambient music inspired by amazing talents like Sigur Rós, Jonsí & Alex, Brian Eno, Tycho, and more, so check it out if you'd like! You can find both of my releases at https://bestghosts.bandcamp.com/. Have a good one.

The final 4 songs are just completely incredible. Svo Hljótt must be one of their absolute greatest, and one of the most emotional songs there is.

@Azzyk: I can't see how you could find anything particularly hateful about this album, especially when you think so highly of their other works. It really isn't all that different!

Pretty great album, however the run from Með Blóðnasir to Mílanó drags the album down with some pretty but inconsequential tracks (Saeglópur excepted). Fortunately they do pull it back with a great finishing run.

@Azzyk.. you're making a TERRIBLE mistake at the moment you try to compare SR's cd's, everyone of them are unique in a way, maybe if you try to enjoy Takk... as a unique piece, forgetting the other cd's, maybe you'll enjoy it :3

Don't understand to that hype which is builded around this album. It seems like you have to love it or hate it. Sadly I belong to second group... I can't compare this to masterpieces like Ágætis Byrjun, ( ) or Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust, which is much better alternative for this album in my opinion.

I can't decide between this, agáetis and (partly) ( ), three stellar pieces they've made. they also reached they peak with this though, then they lost momentum.
