21 nov. 2011, 18h16m par no_conclusionSomeone from Mexican Summer recently mentioned an upcoming release from Ford & Lopatin, featuring Tamaryn and Shannon Funchess (of Light Asylum) on vocals, which would be the label’s 100th release. I was excited to hear that, and now that the songs have been made available for streaming, I can tell you this sure doesn’t disappoint. Stream both tracks here and order the 12″ from Mexican Summer.
5 déc. 2010, 13h00m par no_conclusionLight Asylum just posted some new demos and remixes on their newly opened Soundcloud page. And yeah, they’re as good as all the other tracks this duo shared so far. Speaking of Light Asylum, we hope you’ve checked out that awesome mix Shannon Funchess made for NC.

20 sept. 2010, 12h05m par no_conclusionNew guest mix! By Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum, one of our this year’s favourite acts. It’s a mostly post-punk and new wave mix, with some synthpop, indie, punk and rock. And a couple of oddities (‘arabic oldies’?!) thrown in for good measure.
Light Asylum have a tour EP called In Tension, available at their live shows only, and they are currently working on a full length record. Really pumped for that! In the meantime, check out some demos and remixes if you haven’t already. Also, you can hear Funchess on Teengirl Fantasy’s fine new album 7AM. The mixxx:

Once upon a time, some toxic girls wanted to show their anger and affection.
As a result, it was just chaotic.
Several years later, some boyz, wanted to show their mellow side, they called it revenge, but it was just a smooth touch of weird mews.
So now it's time for reconciliation! So boyz and girls, girls and girls, boys and boys, please give us a breath of peace.

Telepathe perfom their song »Chrome's On It« at PS1 MoMA, New York (March 2nd 2008).
»Brooklyn banshees Telepathe have announced details of the release of their debut album 'Dance Mother' which hits the shops on January 26th.
Gathering a cult following due to their synth-mangling dance-punk clatter, Telepathe finally ventured into the studio under the tutelage of Dave Sitek. The TV on the Radio producer was tasked with turning the shards of sound into a staggering mosaic and in our view he's succeeded spectacularly.
Containing some truly other-worldly sounds 'Dance Mother' is a cataclysmic collision of influences. With their ears sharply trained to Rinse and other London pirates the new album has enough sub-bass to satisfy the biggest dub-head, and guest appearances from TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone and !!!'s Shannon Funchess.
The album has taken almost a year to finish…
