Seabear est un groupe d’indie pop islandais formé par Sindri Már Sigfússon, jeune homme de 23 ans originiaire de Reykjavik. Il utilise guitare acoustique, piano, ainsi que toutes sortes de boîtes scintillantes et de synthés dans ses compositions.
Seabear a débuté en tant que projet solo puis est devenu trio après que Sindri a été sollicité pour assurer la 1ère partie de The Books à Berlin, alors qu’il ne s’était encore jamais produit en public. Il demanda alors à 2 amis, Guggý et Örn, de le rejoindre. Le résultat est un mélange mellow folk pop, agrémenté de piano, de violon, guitare acoustique et de voix atmosphériques, le tout soigneusement passé à travers un filtre lo-fi.
Leur premier album, « The Ghost That Carried Us Away » est sorti en aout 2007 (chez gas & row), et en septembre 2007 aux USA via le label Morr Music.
Sindri a également sorti un EP en solo sous le nom de Seabear intitulé « Singing Arc EP ».

+i mean full-length albums bro..... if you're referring to "singing arc" and "while the fire dies" ones for the other two, those are EPs... (but i have a copy of the "while the fire dies" one though, and the other one, "singing arc" is kind of hard to find since it's an old EP afterall)
