I love how the people defending him and this album always assume people are looking for IARB2 and angsty songs. No, people just want good, interesting, passionate music. A,MD is not that. It has some good songs but nothing great.

it's okay though cause people haven't bothered to go beyond alive with the glory of love seeing as how it's still their number 1 song.

Yeah guys, he's happy now so that entitles him to release bad music.

Everyone who's whining about the album should calm down and realize that Max Bemis is in a totally different mental state than he was when he wrote IARB. How can you people expect a dude who has conquered his bipolar disorder and found love to keep churning out angsty songs from a time in his life where he was going through a lot of turmoil? Shut up.

I don't really care about what people think of the new album, because obviously everyone's entitled to their own opinion. What I don't understand is why people say Max should give up or stop making music just because THEY don't like the music this band has put out since IARB.. Max loves making music, and there will always be people out there that enjoy the music he makes. If you only like ...Is A Real Boy, Say Anything will probably never release another album that you truly enjoy, so maybe you should give up on this band. But I see no valid reason that ANYONE can say this band should give up on making music just because not all of the IARB fans like the direction this band has taken. And personally, I like the new album a lot, I definitely wouldn't consider it as good as IARB but it's a lot better than the last two releases in my opinion.

Yeah, it's pretty terrible. Max should just stop... Not like I was expecting anything more; I've hated most of their music since In Defense of the Genre. :<

Just because they put the word again after "Admit It" doesn't make their new album like ...Is a Real Boy. They could Do Better...again.

After listening to it for a while, its pretty bad. Say anything are one of my favorite bands, but this album is just kinda forced and boring. I actually think the review by sputnikmusic a few comments down hit it spot-on.

Saying everything they do is pure genius is not being a true fan. [2]

Man, People are just hating today. Okay, so because i think all their songs are amazing I am an idiot? People have become so close minded. Maybe I love Say Anything.

I'm glad I don't have any really serious emotional attachment to this band and its lyrics. that way I can just look on from a safe distance and appreciate how hilarious it is for a guy to gather up a fanbase for his bitter angsty lyrics only to grow to become happy, marry a christian woman, stop swearing in his songs and basically piss everyone off as a result.
