I love the warm feeling this song has. Very different from 'true' progressive Rush, yet it shows that the songwriting is amazing, even for these more commercial sounding song.

Lyricist Neil Peart read ten books about the Manhattan Project before writing the lyrics so that he had a proper understanding of what the project was really about.

"Imagine a man, where it all began. The pilot of Enola Gay flying out of the shockwave on that August day. All the powers that be, and the course of history, would be changed forevermore." The way Geddy delivers those lyrics, followed by the little orchestral instrumental section, is just perfect. This song is a masterpiece.[2]

Nice song, interesting subject, but they can do better at conveying the atmosphere of the subject of their songs (e.g. in Red Barchetta), and other bands have written far better songs about the Bomb (check out Iron Maiden's 'Brighter than a Thousand Suns', which really conveys the effect of the Bomb going off). However, I do agree with Sylphie_Elphie that Lee should use his lower register more often as the timbre of it is more pleasant than that of his high register.
