The main obsessions of Rudra Vena are recording, putting on tape, every little sounds of his environment. Rudra Vena’s primary intention, in 2001, was to translate human pulses into music: in early works, sounds were generated with digital synthesizers loaded and melted with human body sounds like heartbeat, breath.

Between 2001 & 2004, Rudra Vena released tracks selected on reputed labels from France and United States. Thanks to supporters mainly in Japan but also East Europe and United States, Industrial & Rhythmic Noise DJ’s from Tokyo, Berlin and Los Angeles started to playlist tracks in their sets.

His first full-length album, “Blast Proof Head”, was released in 2005 on a Mexican label thanks to Los Angeles and Tijuana supporters. “Blast Proof Head” was powernoise music in terms of sound and structure: hypnotic percussion and hard industrial beats melted with obscure noises. Harsh and distorted, cold and mechanical, could describe the nature of sounds used. After this extreme first release and some catastrophic & chaotic live sets, Rudra Vena disappeared and decided not to perform live in industrial scene for a while.

Concerning personal life of Rudra Vena, “Blast Proof Head” was a terrible experience. During recovery time, Rudra Vena collected natural sounds, found sounds, field recordings, ambient drones, while travelling and collaborating with underground performers in East Europe and South East Asia.

Between 2006 & 2008, Rudra Vena was invited to focus on contemporary art and fashion, and developed contacts from early supporters to these new fields of activity: art, design and fashion.
