Rodrigo Y Gabriela est un groupe de musique originaire de la ville de Mexico au Mexique.
Rodrigo Sanchez et Gabriela Quintero se sont rencontrés à Mexico dans un groupe de métal. Ce duo joue maintenant un genre de flamenco avec des influences Rock ‘n’ roll, folk, jazz et métal. Ils enregistrent pratiquement tous leurs titres en live.
Ces deux spécialistes de la guitare acoustique sont maintenant installés en Irlande à Dublin où ils préparent sans cesse de nouveaux morceaux. Leur dernier album (sorti le 13 mars 2006) est arrivé directement nº1 dans les charts irlandais

Saw them at Werchter Festival, didn't know them, I was waiting for Limp Bizkit at the front (I know, sorry), but it was amazing. Great to have seen live!

Wow... couldn't help but asking the store clerk who this was when I heard it for the first time on accident a few weeks ago. Great stuff! So Strunz & Farah are the next closet thing? We know they listened to metal (you can hear the riffs in many places) but what other artists did they listen to for the mariachi/flamenco-esque sound?
