His music is really amazing. It seems like he probably was one of the many black musicians of the time that got a raw deal from the record company, like maybe 100 bucks for the recording but no royalties and ended up broke and trying to make a regular living after that. That's just my theory anyway. It's still great that there were people who discovered his records and learned a lot from his music.
Why the hell isn’t this guys tracks posted for us blues lovers to hear? You can get all of Robert Johnson’s tracks, Son House’s, Blind Willie McTell, etc. so what’s the deal. I just heard Catfish blues for the first time in my life and I wanted to hear the rest of his tracks. Maybe they’re on Wikipedia. Nope… Wow, no one even knows where or how or if he’s dead… Really odd.
