Great song and a great female vocalist. however when folks make absolute statements about being the greatest it warrants some comparisons to ponder about. First I saw Renaissance with Anne Haslam in her prime. It was great. But just think of the following names before making absolute judgements. I'll list a few female vocalists from different genres to think about and a similar one to compare with. Barbara Streisand, Celine Deonne,Whitney Houston, Kate Bush and finally Sandy Denny.
When I saw them at the Academy of Music.
Annie's incredible voice made the hair on my arms stand up.
Guess you never saw them live, espcially Ashes Are Burning
No other female singer is close
Wow her voice sounds like shit to me. Just whiney and a bit erm, sort of stuff my Mum would listen to when I was a kid..
Naa. Not for me. Pity cos' the music is nice, gentle.
Hmm I am in a dilemma now. Great music, not so great vocal.
