Ah man... 2010 has come and gone (well nearly).
dubstep climbed up out of the underground with
Skream and
Magnetic Man aiming for a bigger audience, and losing a lot of the wonder and pure fascination that made us love them in the first place. Always better to be the next big thing than to actually be the biggest thing lads... meh.
Still steppers had a whole lot to be happy about, even if no-one was really sure if you should call it dubstep or some new label culled from a mash up of bastardised other labels, tech-step? bro-step? No idea. Like it. Can't name it. No worries.
Actress,
Pangaea,
Ramadanman and other tore into 2010 like a Dutch world cup final tackle... and
Headhunter tried to convince us that he's from Detroit and now called
Addison Groove... whatevers
Footcrab was killing it. Seriously does anyone know how to get that tune out of my brain so that I can finally sleep without footcrab/footcrab/footcrab/footcrab & insane/insane/insane/insane on repeat in every dream I have ever had since first hearing this.
