I haven't updated this list for quite some time...I would just recommend looking up the first 5 or 10 songs under an artist on youtube to see if you like it or not...

FINAL EXAM

Essay portion:

Not quite a documentary, not quite a concert film, Dave Chappelle's Block Party captures a moment in time, when Dave Chappelle decided to throw "the concert always wanted to see", by bringing together some of the best in indie hip-hop and neo soul to Brooklyn, and throwing a free concert for those who could make it. In doing so, he serves as a pied piper, bringing in a varied group of concert goers, from the older lady who sells him smokes in Dayton, the Central State University Marching Band, or whoever was lucky enough to find out about it via the internet and word of mouth, all while Michel Gondry captures the action.

The predominant mood of the film is one of celebration, creating a good natured vibe that draws the viewer in. The secret to Chappelle's humour is that for all his bluster, he is incredibly approachable and friendly. …

Lauryn Hill was disappointing, Wyclef Jean is one of my favourite artists and would have been better on his own. Do I need to say nothing was expected from Pras? Nothing was delivered in any case.

The crowd was weird man. I was expecting an older bunch of Fugees fans from back in the day, but most people were my age and a large percentage younger. I thought I was a young fan of theirs.

Anyone have a date for when this concert took place? Yes I know I was there but...

This list was too hard to compile, and many great songs were left off. I guess it depends on what classic albums or songs you've heard lately that would make you put them in such a list. But I used personal preference for the most part, although we all would want to be politically correct sometimes, well, maybe just correct. Which had be editing my list twice then going back and editing again continuously. My fave song even taken from number one to number 6, but here's the best list I could possibly make for now. Tried to limit an artists's songs being on here no more than four times, and tried to limit newer songs that have come out recently.
