Plastic Tree

Membres :
Ryutaro Arimura (chant, guitare)
Akira Nakayama (guitare)
Tadashi Hasegawa (basse)

I really like echo. It's not an excellent release, but all the tracks (with the excpetion of the weird intro) are really nice listening. Long live PT!

@Snow-in-Summer: i overlooked that era for a long time too, it's time to fill that gap.

To DoctorKozi: I often feel like their "teenage years" are overlooked, though it's one of their best (and my favourite) eras.

To Kumanosuke: I've been searching for 218小節 for so long, and I still haven't found a place to listen to it. Haven't given up though.

In the meanwhile, i'm back to their (musically talking) teenage days reevaluating their "Shirochrnonicle" that i always misunderstood.

Imho the most celebrated tracks are the weakest ones. "Kagee" was nice at the first listening, but time by time popped out as a not-so-much inspired and lazy pop song: Ryuutarou, you can do something better. "Amaoto" is Kenken again, always nice, but even always equal to himself. "Rinbu" is really good and i'm starting to appreciate even the refrain, that i disliked at the beginning. The most interesting song is "Kyokuron": the arrangement is gergeous, the rhythm is terribly catchy, the lyrics perfectly fitting with and yes, it's wonderful to sing and to headbang; i love this song.

I feel like there was more variation in terms of vocals compared to インク. At this point, his voice is certainly weakening, but I think that has an interesting effect here, particularly in 影絵.

Well, I was too pessimistic at first. After a closer listen, I've realized that there is much that's nice about Echo. If anything it's a "grower" album, although it's clear which songs are the highlights (瞳孔, 雨音, 影絵 and possibly 輪舞).

Hmm, what are some opinions of Echo? I must admit, the first listen was a little underwhelming. I'll put it on again and come back with some thoughts.

3:20 is the standard size Last.fm appoints to a track not actually listened by a player, or listened by a player or website that doesn't give infos to the site. So, for example, someone listened "Kodama" at a music store or on YouTube or so, and than scrobbled on Universal Scrobbler that doesn't give lenght info to Last.fm; result, Last.fm automatically writes the 3:20 standard size.

I don't know if it's the right place to ask: what is the actual length of 木霊 (first track of echo)? 3:20 or 2:05? According to last.fm, it's 3:20, but on my cd it's 2:05, and the song finish weirdly. :/

That was the first release they've had in a while that hasn't been solid. props to the last two tracks being the only listenable things. aside from that first opening shit.

Extreme hype for "echo": i love everything from the double-kanji titles to the title and promotional image, and please note it's out on 3月5日.
