I love both old and new, Industrial is sheer brutality and PSI is catchy. [2]

Here's what happened on the album Industrial when the band first formed: "Hey guys, did you hear that band godflesh? Yeah me too. Let's get together and make music just like that".

Desensitized, Industrial and Submit, everything else is irrelevant. [2] Yeah their copy-Godflesh albums are good.

I prefer Pitch Shifter over Pitchshifter if you catch my drift.

"Industrial" sounds really like Godflesh. A little poserish, but in a good oldschool IM style. "Desensitized" & "Infortainment" is more like 16volt's "Coldwave Industrial". "www.pitchshifter.com"; is unique but sounds more like modern IM. So, later albums are Industial rock with a metal elements. Don't know, listen it a little. Not enough hate in music...

@tricksterc Early Pitchshifter is pretty much Streetcleaner worship, which I have absolutely no problem with. The comparison is pretty obvious.

Has anyone heard anything about new songs from these guys? Crazy to think their last album was 12 years ago! I think one of the band members suffered with ill health, hope everything is all good with them, that's the main thing, a new album in 2014 would be amazing from them!

Well often early material from bands will be a sum of their influences as young musicians. Old fans may often prefer it, but that isn't 'their' sound which obviously evolved a lot more as it went on.

last i heard was they were writing in their own studios in nottingham with the intention of taking their time and maybe dropping something in 2012! so i guess it could be the stuff they were working on last year. but since they now self release all their gear they are very well aware that they have all the time they want to take with no pressures

I heard they were slated for a 2013 album, does anyone know if that's still the plan, or has it been pushed back [again]/canceled?

@tricksterc listen to Industrial and you will soon see why the 2 bands get compared! Desensitized still reminds me of Killing Joke at their ugliest, then they streamlined their sound and JS drastically changed his vocal style. the oddest thing is that JS could be heard at most gigs saying how much the band disliked the first 4 releases, to the point that they felt there was only 2 good songs from that era, Triad and Virus, hence them getting regular airings at the shows.
