Unfortunately Newsboys aren't a band anymore. Like Sonicflood they're a franchise.

@Meattractor...The Bible says that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Your sins are no better or worse than mine. God doesn't measure sin like we do. Sin is sin...no matter what it is. Yes the Bible clearly states that homosexuality is a sin (1 Cor 6:9), but so is lying and disobedience to your parents. I'm no better than you. I have sinned before and I am sure I will again (but I hope not (o:). But if I do, I know that I can go to God himself and ask for forgiveness, if I am truly sorry. I don't look down my nose at those who sin, when I'm no better than anyone else. I see that you have done a little research on this. Which is good. At least you did't just out right refute it without doin a little research. But you can't truly know the meaning of what the scriptures are saying unless you prayerfully read them. Also, not all Christian are the same and not everyone that says they are a Christian, truly are. Thats like saying all white people are redneck racists.

Quote me Jesus on the subject ....... You can't ...... cause Jesus was strangely quiet on the subject. According to your book he said NOTHING on homosexuality, not one word. He spoke of many different sins, but NOT ONCE was homosexuality ever mentioned. Either it was no sin or it ranked rathery. Lower than the guidence of casting first stones. Besides many strange rules, and horriffic teachings can be found in the latter books after Jesus 'mediated'. If your communities continue to attack minorities in a self righteous manner, then I am of the opinion that you require further mediating. I look at the various crimes (i consider your treatments a crime) committed by religous groups and i ponder what would Jesus have to say about the strength and conviction of your members against gay people. Would he like the organisations that use his symbol to be organisations that isolate people. How many of you 'righteous' people know kids that have suicided due to isolation? None. I know some.

all those rules were the result of a greater power being better than a lesser people. Jesus came to earth, and was the mediator between the lesser people, and the greater God. When he died, the curtain standing between us lesser people and the greater God was torn in half. All of those bizarre rules became obsolete. However, Jesus himself said that homosexuality was a sin. And though everybody else has said it............ we really dont hate you...

The bible condems many things such as You cannot round the corners of your beard or the hair on your temples. (Lev 19:27), Handicapped people could not approach God. Their presence would profane his sanctuary. (Lev 21:16-23), Anyone working on the Sabbath is to be killed. (Ex 35:2), Menstruating women and everything they touch are unclean. The only cure for this uncleanness was for the priest to kill a couple of pigeons. (Lev 15:19-30), Stubborn children were to be stoned, and the stoning was to be instigated by their parents. (Duet 21:18-21), etc etc etc. These are but a drop in an ocean of bizarre things that are not taken literally nowadays. To call homosexuality a sin, to not be hypocritical, one MUST follow the rest or rightly stand accused of inconsistencies. Your hatred/ looking down your nose at sin (my perspective - no difference) reflects on you and your communities selective judgement of sections of the bible. You can choose to make irrelevant. Who's sinning here?

@Meatractor - Its not that we hate you or anyone that is gay. We might not like what you do, but we don't hate you. I don't like lying but that doesn't mean I hate the person for lying. Jesus is the same way. A sin is a sin, no matter what way you look at it. He might not like we as His children are doin, but He will never hate you or anyone else.

@Meatractor No one hates you. Also, I found an interesting interview with John James about his fall from Christianity and his restoration. http://www.crossrhythms.co.uk/articles/music/%20john_james_the_newsboys_exlead_singer_speaks_about_his_fall_and_restoration/25790/p1/
