Neurosis se constitue en 1985 à Oakland (Californie). Le groupe a été fondé par Scott Kelly (chant, guitare), Dave Edwardson (basse, seconde voix), deux ex-Violent Coercion, avec Jason Roeder(batterie). Ils sont rejoint plus tard par Steve Von Till (chant, guitare), Noah Landis(orgue, piano, sampling) et par Josh Graham qui s’occupe du visuel durant les lives.

Aeon seems like such an underrated track. About 7 minutes in, when it explodes, it sounds like something huge is just rising out from the earth and everything is going batshit crazy. Maybe that's just me, idk.

@ falsewander. I started with Through Silver in Blood. But realize that TSIB is one of the best albums, period. Most other music is downhill from there.

I still remember when I dropped some blotter by myself one night in highschool back in '97 and decided to listen to Through Silver In Blood for the first time. It changed my life, and I have never found a CD better than that one. THROUGH SILVER IN FUCKING BLOOD

It's just that every Isis album after that feels like Turner's just treading the same water, sure the albums are getting more refined, but it's still the same formula. While Neurosis constantly evolve their sound without sounding the same on any two albums.
