Après avoir passé 8 ans dans la Marine royale Danoise en tant que sous-marinier, le leader (Chanteur-Contrebassiste), Kim Nekroman, s’est d’abord essayé à la batterie dans un groupe de rockabilly, avant de s’interesser au psychobilly. Il a construit son propre modèle de contrebasse en forme de cercueil et créa Nekromantix. Le groupe est composé de Troy Destroy (guitare) et Andrew (NekroKid) (batterie). De 1989 à 2005 de nombreux guitaristes et batteurs s’invitèrent sur les chansons de Nekromantix, la dernière apparition en date fut celle des frères Peter Sandorff (guitare/Chant) et Kristian Sandorff(batterie).

Anecdotes :
- Kim Nekroman joue aussi de la guitare dans le groupe Horrorpops qu’il a fondé avec sa femme Patricia Day , qui le remplace a la contrebasse . On note aussi la présence de l’ex contrebassiste de Tiger Army qui tient office de 2nd guitariste .
- Nekroman avait trouvé l’équipe parfaite auprés des frères Sandorff , mais ils durent quitter le navire car ils furent dans l’impossibilité de suivre Nekroman en amérique .
