Necro (de son véritable nom Ron Braunstein) est un rappeur hardcore, un producteur et un réalisateur de films. Beaucoup influencé par la musique métal, il signe un rap sombre, glauque et extrêmement provocateur dont les sujets principaux sont la mort, l’utraviolence et le sexe, genre qu’il appelle lui-même Death Rap. Il possède son propre label, Psycho+Logical-Records.
Né en 1976 de parents juifs immigrés d’Israël, Necro a grandi à New York, dans le quartier de Brooklyn avec son frère Ill Bill. Il écrit et enregistre depuis la fin des années 1980, où il joue de la guitare dans des groupes jusqu’en 1990 où il se prend d’interêt pour le hip hop. Il commence à être reconnu pour sa musique en 1991, lorsqu’il gagne un concours de démos au Stretch and Bobbito Radio Show à New York. Il apparait dans ce show et dans plusieurs radios les années suivantes.
Necro a fait la première partie des concerts de groupes tels que Run-DMC, The Beatnuts, Sepultura, Kool Keith, Napalm Death & Biohazard. Il a produit de nombreux artistes tels que Cage, Non Phixion, Missing Linx ou encore Al-Tariq. Sa compagnie de production de films, Necro Films, a publié 3 enregistrements qui ont reçus de bonnes critiques de la part de magazines tels que The Source ou Vibe.

Yeah i'm not really a fan of his porn rap side, it's ok in small doses though. The Pre-fix for Death > Gory Days > Death Rap > I Need Drugs > The Sexorcist IMO.
