Early life
Nimri’s mother is Basque and her father is Jordanian; his name is Karam Nimri. She has a brother named Karim Nimri, a half-brother named Andre Nimri and a half-sister named Sara Nimri. Najwa also has a cousin who is a singer named (Antix) Alexander Nimier. Her name means ecstasy in Arabic.[1] When she was a child she moved to Bilbao and now lives in Madrid.
Career
Her first important film role was in Salto al vacío, the first movie by film director Daniel Calparsoro. Her career as a singer started with small groups. In 1996, she formed the band Najwajean with Carlos Jean.[2] She has also released three solo albums. She was married to Daniel Calparsoro[3] and in 2004, she had a son, Teo.

till it breaks is a powerful disc, I love Ilness, Don't Try, Drive Me, I Wish the cat could talk, gold note, you want know the really, I love the all album tracks!!!! Don't even try to change it, with a clinical clarity today I see, I love Najwajean songs!

Najwa adelantó en una entrevista a Europa Press, que se encuentra trabajando en un disco en solitario "parcialmente en castellano". Actualmente, participa en el rodaje de la última cinta de Julio Médem, 'Habitación en Roma'.

Según las últimas noticias, Najwa está trabajando en un disco que de alguna manera fusiona la música clásica y la electrónica, ya que en lo que se ha inspirado "tiene que ver con Bach y el romanticismo" y ha buscado avanzar hacia "un sonido mucho más expresivo". Buscó trabajar con un músico "que supiera perfectamente hasta dónde daba su instrumento", y tras comenzarlo con un guitarrista, colabora ahora con un "pianista brutal", Alfonso Pérez. Ha afirmado que a la espera de poder trabajar en una película "con la que verdaderamente vaya a crecer", la composición y la creación musical han pasado a ser su "día a día". No aclara si finalmente esas composiciones serán para un disco en solitario o con Carlos Jean.

Voz realmente rota, hacía tiempo que no escuchaba nada igual, al estilo crash test dummies pero en femenino. Buenísima música para apuntillar el tema.

Muy buena la versión acústica de Crime ayer en Internight de Los40 con Toni Aguilar. Es una pena que no apoyasen el disco con más singles.

Mira tú por donde... a mí el No Blood nunca me llegó a emocionar, será que el Trip-Hop nunca fue lo mio. En cambio Till It Breaks tiene ese aire de pop épico que me enamora. Death es una de mis favoritas.
