Musicalement Moi dix Mois emprunte malicieusement quelques riffs et rythmiques au black metal et y colle un chant presque lyrique. De plus le synthé tient une place prédominante dans les orchestrations.

Moi dix Mois (モワデイスモワ en Japonais) est un groupe Japonais de Visual-kei formé le 19 mars 2002 par l’ancien leader de Malice Mizer (Mana). Il avait pour chanteur Juka, qui quitta le groupe au mois d’avril 2005. Depuis, il est remplacé par Seth. La musique du groupe allie divers instruments : clavecin, piano, violon, orgue et bien sûr les habituelles guitares, basse et batterie.

Fondé par Mana, le groupe est doté d’une image originale, mêlant romantisme et baroque. L’emblème du groupe est le chiffre 10. On retrouve ce chiffre également dans plusieurs titres (« La dix croix », « Dix est infini », « L’intérieur dix » etc.). Ce chiffre est en fait composé du 1(qui symbolise le commencement) et du 0(l’infini ou le néant). Dans « Moi dix Mois », le M de « Moi » rappelle la première lettre du pseudonyme « Mana » (et « Moi » permet de signaler qu’il s’agit du projet musical personnel de Mana). 10 est également le nombre de mois qui sépare la fin de Malice Mizer et la formation de Moi dix Mois ainsi que la période de gestation chez la femme (les Japonais comptent en mois lunaires pour la gestation). Visuellement, le groupe adopte le style Elegant Gothic Lolita Aristocrat avec des influences Batcave. Ce sont des ensembles très sombres, tout en étant  » mignon « , tel que le défini Mana qui a mis le look Gothic Lolita à son apogée. Les vêtements proviennent de Moi-même-Moitié, la ligne de vêtements et magasin créés par Mana.

    Actually this band does do some way similiar music than moi dix mois, but just industrial songs and so. And my sentence was lacking one word mistakenly and it was industrial metal.

    I guess I am giving off the wrong impression. XD But whatever. I am happy to hear Seth's version, I guess. But my first thought was What the fuck? I have never known a band to do that before. I am just saying. Like I said, I love Seth's voice. It's different. I wonder if they can give them the same feel that is all that I loved with Juka's voice. I am not thinking Mana is doing it for money or anything. I was just a little startled at the idea at first. If that makes sense.

    As Neo-Nebula said, I highly, highly doubt that it's just going to be the original song with Seth's voice dubbed over it. Every time there's a remake it always sounds like a revamped version of the song, not just a "remastered" version used as a filler track. There are plenty of songs I truly love off of their first two albums, but there were a lot of mistakes that could easily been taken care of with 10 years more experience, like abrupt cut offs, poor phrase transitions, awkward guitar timbres, etc. Very few VK bands get to the point of being able to redo their old work, usually due to a short lifespan and lack of demand from the fans, so this isn't as much of a cash-cow publicity stunt as it might seem.

    But it's not like Mana is going to steal your Juka CDs and record Seth's vocals over them. I understand you feel those were the Juka songs, but I think this is to bring more appreciation(?) to the songs by letting Seth have a try at them, too. Does that make any sense? XD Sorry . . .

    I don't know. I love Seth's voice and I can appreciate him singing songs from that album live. I just don't understand why you would strip off the old singer's vocals on the past album. I am not angry about it or anything. I'd probably listen to Seth's version because I do love his voice but the songs are engrained in my mind with Juka's vocals.

    I don't mind that they redo so many songs. What can be seen as a little bother is that K seems to be the only one that managed to stay with Mana on this one.I assume that it might be tough to keep up with him, since he clearly wants to make his music, but still XD

    Oh I am also very excited for the new album... I so want to hear the new Seth versions. And I'm agree about "Last Temptation", but I also think that "Neo Pessimist" sucks too... they just ruin the original ones and it's not by any means because of Seth, who has an amazing voice, it's completely a Mana's fault. It's a shame, while "Perish" and "Forbidden" Seth versions are that great!
