Andy has two hours of wonderful music in December, mostly very moody and wintery, including The Joy Formidable, Crystal Castles, Soulsavers, Gilbert, Human Don't Be Angry, Stealing Sheep, Willy Moon, Purity Ring and The Raveonettes. There's a Scott's Funky Five Minutes and loads of other great new music. Andy also appears in Dandelion Radio's Festive Fifty countdown show repeating daily from Christmas Day until the end of January!
Well it is December and that of course means only one thing ... Rev Porl has recorded another Christmas Session for Jeff's Show plus in this 3 hour end of year, bonanza there's another session, The long awaited debut from Persian Claws. Speaking of exclusives, Drink and Drive, One Step Program and The Truth About Frank all provide never before heard gems.
Jeff takes this opportunity to replay tracks from his favourite session artists (The Bigsby Brothers, Peopling and Stranger Son) and gives another spin to some of his favoutite tunes of 2012 (Four Tet…

Andy's 2-hour September show is packed with brilliant new music including Claude Violante, Lovelock, Damn Vandals, Slugabed, The Horn The Hunt, Purity Ring, Human Don't Be Angry, Jack Hayter, Lorn, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, The Caretaker, Breton and Team Ghost. Scott's back with his first Funky Five Minutes for a couple of months, plus there's a related Andy's Old Chestnut.
'A rare show'
A collector's edition show this month from Marcelle. Not only is this the only Dandelion radio show to be recorded in the West Of Amsterdam, she also plays a lot of tracks from the very rare new 5LP African Guitar (wooden) box set on Mississippi Records. Marcelle also has a guest mix from listener Gerlo TV, who found no less than 318 techno vinyls on an Amsterdam street and decided not only to drag them all home but also made a mix of some of them, playing them at the wrong speed! Marcelle herself plays an African single bought in Berlin.

Andy crams a whopping 39 tunes into his 3-hour August show, featuring the 'Lord Numb Love-In 2', following on from the first guest appearance in May 2011, with three sessions from Lord Numb, his associate Spidersleg and The Reject Club - the name under which both acts collaborate. New music includes 2:54, Scuba, Spoek Mathambo, Savages, Totally Extinct Enormous Dinosaurs, Human Dont Be Angry, Breton, Pure Love and Madeon; theres three Andys Old Chestnuts from 1982, 1984 and 1987; plus a brilliant 12 New Order jukebox selection from 1989.
It might not be healing of the Marvin Gaye variety, but there's something undeniably sexual about the funky masterwork that opens this month's Dandelion show by Gareth Main. Taken from the 1968 Lady in Cement OST - recently reissued on Harkit.
Don't worry though, that only prepares the patient for a brutal tearing open via the noise of Ancient Methods' remix of Delusions from Spain's Ballistic label and thrashing guitars of Ty Segall off US label In the Red. …

Andy's show this month takes a break from the latest new music to look back over highlights from past shows, some of his favourite records, and some older tracks he's yet to get around to playing. Artists featured include Eliza, Beangrowers, Seagull Strange, Samuraj Cities, I Am Jen, schnieder tm, Laura Cantrell and many, many others. There is also a sneak preview of the two tracks that will be played at Andy's funeral - including his favourite tune of all time! So listen in, for a backwards glance at some of Andy's classic Dandelion selections, and a succinct summary of the type of records that he loves playing on his show.
After the best part of a year away from Dandelion, Gareth returns with a heavily digidub infused two hours, featuring incredible Doncaster MC Parly B as well as Alpha Steppas, Soom T and Pupajim.
It's not all dub though, as always, there's a mix of the weird and wonderful…

Andy's 3-hour February show focuses almost entirely on new bands and releases, including selections from His Electro Blue Voice, Mint Julep, Damn Vandals, The Big Pink, Kuedo, ?REDO FROM START, Stylus Rex, Childish Gambino, Spidersleg, Yeti Lane and a cracking new live version of a very old track by New Order. There's two exclusive session guests, with the second appearance on my show from The Horn The Hunt, and Cygnus X-1 in session for a third time with some epic progressive trance. This month's classic session track comes from Epic45's October 2007 guest spot, there's a Funky Five Minutes from Scott plus a competition to win new Sonic Cathedral records artist Fairewell's debut album 'Poor, Poor Grendel'.
Jeff opens his Dandelion Radio account for 2012 with a belting 2 hour show featuring a pick of recent and new releases in the shape of The Louche F.C, Full Toilet, Boddika & Joy Orbison, alt-J, Cut Hands The Proper Ornaments Pinch & Shackleton, Black Face and T.I.T.S.

Continuing a Christmas tradition started by the late BBC broadcaster John Peel in 1976, an assortment of our DJs will be counting down through the best 50 tracks from 2011, as voted for by listeners to Dandelion Radio. Jeff Grainger, Rocker, Andrew Morrison, Neil Jenkins and Mark Whitby take it in turns to reveal the chart in reverse order, with Pete Jackson announcing this year's winner! To try to keep the suspense in the countdown, the track info is not shown until a few seconds before each song finishes. The show is repeated every day (at different times) until the end of January so if you join in somewhere in the middle, do come back and hear the rest.
For January 2012 Dandelion Radio introduces a Review of the year 2011, as seen through the eyes of our DJs. Covering the long and the short, the abusive and the beautiful, each DJ takes a turn in guiding you through some of their musical high points from the past year. …
