Believe
I found a new reside
Story from the inside
Of the insane asylum tonight
Take me in, I'm the one
"Fool you" trick has begun
When I get what I came for, I'm gone
I believe I've been deceived
You've been misleading me
You and me were never meant to be in company
So give it up, give it up, give it up
I often think about
Philosophy and doubt
I never thought you that could
Mistake me here for good
But you did, so I beg and I plead
I beg and plead
Something beautiful
Something innocent
Something pure inside my heart
Come in -

Albums I'm enjoying right now
16 juin 2007, 20h19m par Fallingup1986
I recently bought a bunch of albums. Around ten in the month of may. And I have been enjoying a lot of them. So here is a list of the ones that are really holding my attention of late.
MuteMath - Mutemath
This self titled debut is amazing. A very critically acclaimed band that aims not to be radio friendly but experimental. The thing that really has me hooked onto them is the retro sound. The band plays vintage instruments. So the guitars riffs and drum beats are similar to something you would have heard from a new wave band in the 70's o 80's. The lyrics are awsome and the music is anthemic. Think u2 combined with The Police and the killers.
Edison Glass - A burn or a shiver
Once again a band that combines elements such as indie and classic rock together. The riffs are catchy and combine a classic new wave rock feel with jazz and raggae elements. The lyrics are equally amazing. This band plays with a lot of skill and that is reflected on this debut cd.
Hundred Year Storm - Hello From The Children of Planet Earth

Credential Recordings: Forget Michael W. Smith and Creed
1 mai 2007, 5h10m par Sneezonaut
I get a lot of flack for listening to Christian rock. People expect the music to be watered down and boring, but really, let's ask "The Simpsons" what the real difference is: "All you do is change 'Jesus' to 'baby'"
Okay, obviously it's bigger than that, but I have a huge appreciation for Christian artists whose music break standards even for the secular ear. This doesn't mean taking mainstream formulas and popping in a few lines about love--this means generating forward-thinking, awesome music with faith.
I was going to do a general blog of creative Christian rock bands, but I have never been as geeked out about a label as I have about Credential Recordings. I've never picked a favorite label until now.
On Credential:
Edison Glass - Crazy guitar riffs and twists in a classic-rock-meets-punk-meets-electric-twitch style for fans of The Mars Volta, Jonezetta, The Police.
Future of Forestry - The band's name comes from a C.S. Lewis poem about the appreciation and preservation of natural beauty. … -

2007: What To Look For
11 fév. 2007, 6h46m par PJF6387
Well it is February already, but there haven't been too many major releases yet (except The Shins, Fall Out Boy and Bloc Party. But there are sooo many albums to come this year...
First of all, Anberlin's 'Cities' comes out February 20th, and is sure to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Portions of the album have already leaked, and they sound as good as advertised, if not even better.
Another one I'm looking forward to hearing is Knoxville, Tennessee's own Copper, who continue to lead the way as one of the best unsigned bands in today's music scene. Their two new songs "Shadow Of A Doubt" and "Broken Sky" sound as good as (if not better than) anything you can find on a major label these days. This band is the perfect example of how to live the rock star dream without the hassles of a major record deal overhead.
Bleu has also promised that his long-awaited 'A Watched Pot' album will see the light of day in 2007. …
