Tal como aconteceu no ano passado, esta não pretende ser a lista daqueles que, para mim, foram os melhores álbuns de 2011, mas antes uma ordenação qualitativa de tudo quanto ouvi este ano. Nesse sentido institui um sistema de qualificação em dois planos: um geral, constituído por cinco níveis (de A a F), e um outro, respeitante a cada um desses cinco, constituído por outros três (de A a C).
Desta forma penso tornar-se mais óbvio aquilo que penso em relação a cada título, procurando atenuar diferenças entre, por exemplo, o primeiro e o último álbum classificados com AA, e realçá-las entre, por exemplo, o último álbum com a classificação AA e o primeiro com AB.
Gostos à parte, procurei ouvir cada título as vezes suficientes para formar uma opinião e, nos últimos tempos, tornei a ouvi-los seguindo a ordenação que aqui apresento:

Rock odavno ne živi na top listama. Onkraj bjesomučne trke za novcem i slavom mnogi ipak stvaraju muziku, za sebe i nas, zaluđenike, kojima to nešto znači. Ovo je spisak nekih albuma iz prve polovine godine koji su mi se svidili. Nikakav pokušaj objektivnog sagledavanja, u to ne vjerujem.

Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears - Scandalous
Ovaj spisak je abecedni, ali i da nije, ovo bi bilo na/pri vrhu. Funk i rock su prečesto bili spajani frankenštajnovskom suptilnošću, šavovi su bili previše vidljivi i uvijek bi jedna strana prevladavala. Ovo je savršen spoj, kakvom ima malo pandana. Pravilnim doziranjem i dodavanjem odgovarajućih začina iz sveukupne istorije pop muzike dobijena je eksplozivna smjesa koja pokreće i dušu i tijelo.

Sat 12 Mar – Left Lane Cruiser
Midwestern blues-rock duos seem to be in no short supply these days, but that isn't to say the set-up is worn out or cliche, as demonstrated the imitable Left Lane Cruiser.
Little bit bout the venue, theMorseland: never been there before m'self. Seems more accommodating of eatin' and drinkin' than it does legitimate live shows, but a legitimate live show is exactly what LLC delivered.
Heard a local band called the Blue Dragons were opening and although I would have liked to make it out to see them to get a taste of the local flavor, I was coming straight from a wedding in the west suburbs and the venue was on the waaay the fuck north side. When I walked in (after paying my ridiculously cheap $7 cover), LLC was already full on, tearing into it with Justify, a personal favorite. They proceeded to play pretty much every tune I could have hoped for, interspersed with amusing asides bout home cookin', dirty ass rivers and, yes…

HOLY FUCK. 2010 saw me buying (and receiving) a shitton of albums. I went from 48 in 2009 to 213 in '10. I may be a lot richer in music, but clearly not so much in the wallet. Fuck it, though. It was all worth it. I have a feeling that 2011 will find a little more middle ground. Anyway, it's never too early in the year to start! Oh, and I'm not going to include vinyl in here... you can see that in my vinyl collection entry.
