Another year has passed, so, for the second time ever, I decided to put everything together.

This year my taste of music represents a bit of hip-hop, acoustic, rock, indie, soul, alternative, singer-songwriter, jazz, funk, electronic, chill, surf, blues, neo-soul, folk, underground hip-hop, indie rock, instrumental hip-hop, chillout, instrumental, trip-hop, alternative rock, pop, reggae, beats, swing, indie pop and jazz hop.

From February till July I enjoyed my time living in the beautiful city of Utrecht, The Netherlands, where I was an ERASMUS exchange student at the Utrecht University. Since I lived in a huge flat for five months with 11 awesome people from all over the world, this year my charts doesn't reflect the music I was actually into.

I was listening to lots of classic rock, like Led Zeppelin or The Beatles, together with Martin, Samuli, Dori and others we even did a jam session, and, of course, we were jumping to tracks like Hello and Like A G6 while attending Club Poema or Tivoli. …

Kings of Convenience, el único de los proyectos de Erlend Øye que no había visitado Chile, tuvo su gran noche en La Cúpula del Parque O’higgins este sábado 3 de diciembre.

Alrededor de las 22:45, un retraso que se hizo eterno debido a las ansias, Eirik Glambek Bøe y Erlend Øye suben al escenario de La Cúpula decorado con aviones de papel entre gritos, aplausos y silbidos que serían por lejos lo más ruidoso que escucharíamos durante toda la noche, suenan las primeras notas de My Ship Isn’t Pretty y todo enmudece, es la primera canción de una noche memorable en todo sentido, le sigue Cayman Islands con esa paz que solo pueden lograr ellos con su guitarras de palo. Al final de cada canción los noruegos se dan tiempo para conversar con el público, piden que no grabemos con nuestras cámaras “que guardemos este momento en la memoria” y tienen razón, la cercanía e intimidad que logran no cabe en ninguna cámara y no puede ser atrapada en una foto.

Cuando el silencio se conjuga con el poder de solamente dos guitarras acústicas, se obtienen resultados maravillosos como lo fueron las bellas armonías que crearonKings of Convenienceen el concierto que dieron el martes.

Comenzando con media hora de retraso, Eirik y Erlendo salieron a recibir a un José Cuervo Salón a su máxima capacidad. A lo largo de la noche nos regalaron, con la instrumentación mínima, un repaso de sus tres discos, incluyendo joyas como “Misread”, “Me In You”, “Homesick”, “Love Is No Big Truth”, “24-25”, “My Ship Isn’t Pretty”, “Singing Softly to Me”, “I Don’t Know What I Can Save You From”, “Mrs. Cold”, entre muchas otras.
