From romantic to orgiastic in 12 minutes!

    Lundi soir
  • Assedor

Band maintains its sound; creating music is about one key for all the albums. It should be noted that the team is trying to squeeze out all the creative juices, the entire potential. The band is still very, very recognizable. However, looking at the membership does not have to wonder.

This song is so fucking amazing. It's so many emotions. But the second movement recalls Animal Farm for me.

What a fantastic song. It's likely the one that made me get deeper into their songs. My favourite song from them so far.

Literally the perfect way to end an album like this. It's a mostly-somber piece that still has a bit of bite left to it, yet it's all the while very emotional and beautiful. This is certainly one song the band should be remembered for.

It doesn't matter how my tastes change, how many years have passed, or how I feel at the moment, I always keep returning to this song, as many have people put it, if I could choose a final song to listen to before dying, it would be this, definitely. Best song ever.

This track (combined with Providence as the 'intro') really demonstrates everything that made King Crimson special. The atonal improvisations (Providence), the gentle balladeering (the first half) and the unbearably heavy freakouts (the second half). There was really no other band like them, although a lot of them tried.

Why did anyone recorded anything after THIS? I don't see any point in making new music, as it sounds farcical compared to this incarnation of pure genius.

I agree with the comments below, took me a while to truly appreciate their work, but damn... they're one of the greatest bands of all time, simple as that. And Starless is possibly their greatest achievement, it hits me like a ton of bricks every single time I listen to it, I cannot think of a song more perfect.
