Kamelot est un groupe sur lequel il faut compter ! Depuis quelques années, ils fascinent leurs fans avec leur propre style de power metal mélodique, la voix charismatique de Roy Khan, et le jeu de guitare puissant mais aussi fascinant de Thomas Youngblood. Si on y ajoute le batteur Casey Grillo et le bassiste Glenn Barry, la marque de fabrique du groupe en devient parfaitement reconnaissable. À cette formation s’ajoute le claviériste Oliver Palotai qui était dès lors un simple musicien de tournée, mais qui, depuis l’album Ghost Opera, est devenu un membre intégrant de la formation américaine. Chacun de leurs albums est marqué par des compositions de qualité et une impressionnante maîtrise technique. Dans le même temps, Kamelot n’a pas cessé d’affiner leur style, année après année, au fil des tournées et des albums.

I was listening to Rule the World earlier, and oh my god, I never noticed before but during Thomas' solo, Casey's drumming is amazing!! @__@

After years of friends, family and websites recommending this band to me I've finally listened to them, got Epica and The Black Halo and I liked both albums very much, maybe the only power metal band that I can listen to for more than 20 minutes without getting tired. Now I feel silly that I've waited so long to listen to them.

Yes, there are plenty of solos... I think I would like to hear some even greater variaties in the vocals - screams occasionally, soprano heights when it suits the song (Mirror, Mirror...)
