Nés en 2006 aux alentours de Birmingham, Alexei Berrow (voix/guitares),Kelly Southern (voix/basse) et
Junior Elvis(batterie/claviers) aka Johnny Foreigner sortent leur premier album » Waited Up ‘Til It Was Light », en juin 2008, après le EP « Arcs Across the City », un concentré d’indie-pop, aux textes percutants et guitares cinglantes. Après de nombreuses tournées au Royaume-Uni et en Europe, JoFo ont enregistré leur deuxième album au printemps avec Alex Newport… Ce deuxième opus, « Grace and The Bigger Picture » sortira le 26 octobre 2009, toujours sur le label Best Before Records. Deux singles en sont déjà tirés : « Feels Like Summer », sorti e téléchargement libre le 22 juin 2009, et « Criminals », à paraitre le 12 octobre 2009.
En septembre 09, le trio a ouvert pour Dinosaur Jr à Paris.
Une tournée anglaise est prévue en octobre 2009, ainsi qu’un mini tour passant par l’ Allemagne, les Pays Bas et l’ Irlande en novembre.

Bought today and listening for the first time right now. It usually takes me 5-10 listens to get into an album so I don't think I can objectively express an opinion just yet but it sounds good, definitely not a departure from 'Waited Up 'til It Was Light ' which could be a good thing as I can't see this band evolving over several albums, I like them just as they are.

Nothing wrong with Woke Up on a Beach, it's just the only song on there that I don't really feel like singing to... Everyone else agree that their closers are completely amazing though? I wanna hear more like Coast and Absolute Balance.

The problem i have with the new album is that it sounds like they've tried to condense an hour long album into 40 minutes, they probably wanted to make it sound so chaotic and fast paced, but i'm not sure if i like it..

Grace is an odd little record. I know I like it, but I'm not sure how much yet. Even though it's not OVERLY different in sound to Waited Up, the structure of it is so different that it's taking me a whole to get used to it.
