Johnny Flynn est un auteur, chanteur, musicien et acteur britannique. Âgé de 25 ans, il a déjà joué dans plusieurs pièces de théatre à Londres avec sa troupe « Propeller », où ils reprennent notamment Shakespeare. Il sort le 28 mai 2008 un album « A Larum », sur le label anglais de Vertigo Records.
Pour cet album il s’entoure sur plusieurs chansons du groupe instrumental « The Sussex Wit », dont sa soeur fait partie.
Les critiques sont souvent élogieuses et le succès de l’album lui permet de partir en tournée en dehors des frontières européenne.
