I can't begin to describe how much I love this track. It's so absolutely perfect I'm almost a bit sad when it ends, and I often play it two or three times in a row. Sure, the rest of the album is good, but this is the absolute standout.
I've begun my journey in a paper boat without a bottom. I will fly to the moon in it. I've been folded along a crease in time, a weakness in the sheet of life. Now you've settled on the opposite side of the paper to me. I can see your traces in the ink that soaks through the fibre, the pulped vegetation. When we become waterlogged, and the cage disintegrates, we will intermingle. When this paper aeroplane leaves the cliff edge and carves parallel vapor trails in the dark, we will come together.
"Dear Esther, I once more heard the song while the sun set behind the foggy haze of regret. Relentlessly as always, it ripped my heart out, leaving it alone and broken in a sad puddle on this forsaken shoreline. Tonight I will make my ascent and be done with it all." Or at least that's how this song makes me feel ;)
