would love to have seen the live concert with Liam Neeson narrating, however Jason Donovan and that McFadden from Westlife changed my mind

After "The Wall" of Pink Floyd, the best concept album ever! After 11 years - 2003 yr. I discovered Jeff's War Of The World, still awesome to listening :)

Loving the New Generation - There are some things I dislike, and sometimes the acting can be questionable (Spirit of Man, ugh), but in general it feels like it is a much finer and better album than the original, with much improved plot and arrangements. The only issue is that it's very close to the original - And what was contemporary in the 70's, now feels dated, and the occasional more modern arrangement (or dubstep parts) doesn't change the fact that while the original is a timeless classic, New Generation is only a curiosity.

Listening to the original TWOTW Album ist one of my earliest childhood memories. I listened to it over and over and still love it. Soundtrack of my past :-)

The original 'Musical Version of The War of the Worlds' is a cast-iron classic. The new version not so much. A few words: http://www.realgonerocks.com/2012/11/jeff-wayne-musical-version-of-war-of-the-worlds-the-new-generation/

So much nostalgia every time I revisit the album. Prog rock as I've always loved it.

Since I'm from Sweden my mother used to translate The War of the Worlds for me and my brothers when we were young, it scared the shit out of us. My mother is very sweet, but she can be really scary at times.

Used to terrify me as a child, but in a way that I kept wanting to hear it haha. Absolutely love it!! I mean War of the Worlds not any of Jeff's jingles. I can't listen to it before I go to bed or I end up having nightmares lol!
