I'm so happy he covered this song as it's my favorite Genesis song. I wish there could have been a version of this done in the studio, although the track was recorded on a whim anyway.

Much praise to Jeff for covering this. Interesting interpretation, and that period of Genesis (the best period) leaves much to interpretation!

What the hell.... I just heard this song for the first time. Who would have guessed Buckley would cover Genesis.

this is not a fail. Anyone who dares cover a peter gabriel-era Genesis tune succeeds anyways. But this is pretty solid.

This is probably my favourite Genesis song - the original has a positively visceral vocal by Peter Gabriel and there's tons of cool analogue synths wriggling around. Buckley's version is kinda funny cos he seems to have done it do a single 7-beats-to-the-bar loop the whole way through, but in Genesis' original, the different chorus-bits in the middle (about porcupines and fluffy hearts etc etc) switch to different bar lengths (sixes and fours and stuff), so Buckley's goes all kinda wierdly out of time and trips over itself. I also notice Buckley leaves out some lines in the verses where he obviously decided he couldn't get the same raging high notes as Gabriel? Dare I say, in fact: - FAIL - ?

Best song on the album. but damn, it's a cover! :( Anyway, I love Genesis, so let's look it up!

Better than Genesis I think - probably because I'm not mad on Genesis.

Oh, this is a cover? I'm pretty sure I'm going to like this one best just because I heared it first. Here I was going to sing buckleys praises for an insanely cool riff, lyrics and melody sung onto it :) Damnit, Genesis is on the to-listen list pronto! I usually hate covers by default, but this time it's gonna be backwards...
