James Morrison est un chanteur, auteur-compositeur et guitariste britannique né à Rugby le 13 août 1984.
C’est à l’âge de 13 ans que son oncle lui apprend à jouer à la guitare.
Il attribue sa voix distincte à une grave crise de la coqueluche qui a failli le tuer lorsqu’il était bébé.
Il enregistre son premier album studio en 2006 : Undiscovered, qui sera plus tard certifié 4 fois disque de Platine en Grande-Bretagne et disque d’Or en France, en Australie, au Danemark, en Allemagne, au Pays-Bas et en Suisse. De cet album sortiront 5 singles :
You Give Me Something, Wonderful World, Call the Police, The Pieces Don’t Fit Anymore, Undiscovered et One Last Chance.
James Morrison revient en Septembre 2008 avec un nouvel album Songs For You, Truths For Me. Les trois singles extraits de cet album sont à ce jour :You Make It Real et Broken Strings (avec Nelly Furtado); ainsi que Nothing Ever Hurt Like You (aux États-Unis seulement).
