8 oct. 2005, 14h56m par SmileyScrobblerWelcome to my journal, I thought I might as well post at least one entry while I'm a member. As you can see from the tracks I've listened to I like a variety of music, from Robbie Williams to the Kaiser Chiefs. My favourite bands include Stereophonics, U2 and Coldplay. Favourite artists include Eminem, James Blunt, Bryan Adams and many more. Thats all I have to say for now.

Oh, this song is just painfully sweet. It's so artfully and longingly done, and when he starts beseeching you it's not like the kind of sensitive guy who you kind of want to step all over, it makes him this guy who's sensitive in a manly way but yet he's man enough to admit that he loves you and misses you, a la Jack Johnson. In fact, he's quite like a less comatose version of him. Don't get me wrong, I like the coma, but this song DEMANDS you be amazed at how MANLY he is about missing you, and he DEMANDS you return to him. He DEMANDS it because he wants to LOVE YOU SO GOOD. And if that doesn't make your day, well, you have no soul.
Words can be quite vivid, but they can't bring you to me live. So just come home as soon as you can, come home, and don't ever leave again.

14 sept. 2005, 16h16m par gilchrist1984I noticed this a few days ago, a lot of the artists i've been listening to recently begin with the letter J. At the moment i'm loving Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Joseph Arthur, James Blunt, Joey DeGraw, Jimmy Eat World.
I do love loads of other artists at the moment as well like The Pussycat Dolls, Gavin DeGraw, Tyler Hilton & Girls Aloud to name a few!!
I just thought it was wierd how many artists i love started with the letter J.
One of my favourite songs at the moment has to be Daughters, in fact i'm loving pretty much all of John Mayer's two albums Room for Squares & Heavier Things, can't believe i only just started listening to this guy last week.
Sorry for the totally random post!

4 sept. 2005, 13h37m par didymosWow. That's all there is to it: wow. I recently purchased James Blunt's album, Back to Bedlam. And oh my god, is that a sweet album. With the stunning "You're Beautiful" track as a nice appetizer, it contains wonderful songs like "So Long Jimmy", "Goodbye My Lover", and "Cry". Not to mention "Wisemen", of course.
James Blunt is a bit more pop, than what I mostly cope with. But the combination of his incredible voice, and the neat lyrics just do it for me. My warmest recommendations!

20 août 2005, 17h46m par Franz_fan14Ok, so this Journal feature is good for writing stuff about whats happening in your musical world so I think that's what I'll use it for - writing about CD's, music and gigs and such.
Well I just thought I would write about the gig's I'm going to soon.
T on the Fringe in Edinburgh has started and I'm going to two gigs near the end of it - Razorlight on the 29th and Franz Ferdinand on the 31st supported by the Arcade Fire. Out of the two, it has to be said that I'm most looking forward to Franz Ferdinand. I have a strange love for them, and it has been reignited with the release of their new single on the radio. It will be the third time I've seen them live, and nothing compares to Franz live! I saw Razorlight at T In The Park this year and they were really good so I'm looking forward to seeing them again.
In October I'm heading through to Glasgow to see three bands on the NME tour, the Cribs, the Kaiser Chiefs and Maximo Park. I've seen both Maximo Park and the Kaisers at T and…
