When famed Sun Studios owner (disoverer of Elvis & so many other major stars of '50s rock blues & country) Sam Phillips first heard Wolf sing there ,he said, "This is IT. This is for me. Now I know where it is that the 'Soul of man goes and never dies.' " His greatest regret was letting Wolf go to Chess Records (Wolf's estate later successfully sued Chess Records, the prime Chicago blues record company portrayed - sort of - in the recent film 'Cadillac Records.')
