outstanding album musically, but the mixing is so bad in some places. It's one of those albums that would sound great if it had a nice neat clean production (similar to Organic Hallucinosis or For Thise Whom the Gods Detest) but the guitars keep getting lost in the mix or the drums come through too loud. I'd love to see them play some of this live though, bet it rips ass

I already said that this album suck but I don't think the same now ... Behold Judas is such a monumental track .This is an enjoyable death metal album just because the album is not consistent enough. Always hated I, Monarch(song) and will always hate it like some others songs. Drums is beastly though

This is their most solid album. King Of All Kings is good for what it is, Conquering the Throne is fairly basic, and Fury And Flames, while having some really good riffs (and Bringer Of Storms) is too similar to KoaK. Regardless, Hail Rutan and that IronBird he slays! \m/

Have to agree. Everything they did before this was just spaghetti. On this they finally pulled everything together - solid riffs, incredible drumming, and production. Funny enough, the album after this didn't do anything for me.

They finally got their act together and did something excellent. All the albums predating this one bore me half to death. But this one just works.

A monument of death metal, and imho, the finest death metal drum performance ever committed to tape. This album is ALL about the drums. And funny enough PaladinDhel, I love the snare sound. I think the entire drum sound is extremely warm and organic. I can't fault this album.

I love this album, but GODDAMN I hate that snare sound. Sounds like Roddy is banging a tree or something.

inpropagation is right. It also has one of the greatest instrumental songs in death metal.

Perhaps the only instantly gratifying CD in my collection. Right from the start, it goes straight for your throat. Either that, or it goes for your arse, intending to viciously rape you. Whichever you prefer.
