Just GREAT ! ... One of the premier anti-war covers from the '60s . (A follower for awhile , I recall buying two vinyls one young sunny day ... A first LP by "The Peanut Butter Conspiracy" and a first Dead LP which featured the studio rendition of this haunting tribute to the fallen . It's been a long day , but a very , very Grateful one .)

Man I miss those days [2]. I was lucky enough to catch a bunch of Grateful Dead shows from 1988-'95 when I was a strapping, young lad. I loved the scene, the music, and the live shows... and everything else associated with it. Fantastic!

05/08/77, 05/22/77 and 06/18/74 are absolute favourites. Barton Hall is often cited as the greatest of the lot and I think Jerry is on fire and do put it as one of the greatest, but Keith is so amazing on 05/22/77 as is Jerry. The crescendos are glorious. 06/18/74 has a different feel from the May 77 shows, and is also incredible.

One of their most renowned string of shows ever [4/71] and a great version. Someday I'll update my audience taped cassette to the official release this comes from. For now I'll just smile, smile, smile.

.... Was just truly wishing to hear this cut . .... Tuned-into Perpetualpeace's library , and My Gosh - It's more than simple synchronism ! ... As already noted , an absolutely beautiful hymn to Creation and the waste of war .

I'm listening to a matrix recording of 06/07/77, which is on the short list for greatest version of all. What can I add about the song that hasn't already been said? After all these years, it still reveals the beauty of Creation...

5/2/70 and europe '72 are both equally the best; binghampton for how heavy the dead can get and europe '72 is just plain beautiful.
