Loved this slow version 1st time I heard it live at Oakland Stadium (with the Who in 1976). Loved the peppier version too of course. But it was so good to hear a fresh treatment too. Those Dead surprises. (Mighty Quinn 1st time I heard it live). (Let the Good Times Roll. Shockingly wonderful, LIVE. Sacramento.

lottadogs 1981...Heading west on 84, stopped at a rest stop in Illinois and met some deadheads there. I was just dumped by my girl and feeling down. They talked me into going to Wisconsin for a Dead show. The start of my love for the Dead, which has never stopped. Great people, they saved me. ;-)

It never stops. The song is a warning about the simple truth. Give it all up to Jesus or that devil will trick you every time. Nothing to fear but not pleasing God. The world,though given to the devil, is was and continues to be sustained by God. So just put a little simple Christianity into practice each day,give someone a buck with no judgement,help someone because your handy to offer. Little things that will change your live.
