This one's my favourite still as well. Colo(u)red Sands will be out soon though, and I have hopes that it'll take that title. I hope that's not too much to ask, although it probably is; this album is that good.

Does anyone else think that "From Wisdom To Hate" is one of the best death metal album titles?

I think you guys saying it's better than Obscura are a bit confused. It's an easier album to digest than Obscura and it's not as monolithic, but that doesn't make it "better". It's a fuckin great album, don't get me wrong, but it's definitely less brain-melting. It also has kind of a shitty production job. It sounds tinny as hell compared to Obscura and would probably really benefit from a remix/remaster.

Obscura simply has better production, otherwise they're both perfect

very good, but I wouldn't say better than Obscura. it's definitely an advance technically and experimentally, but it's a lot less catchy.

Probably me favorite Gorguts album, although I need to listen to The Erosion of Sanity more.

I wouldn't say its better or worse than obscura, but I would speculate it is more consistent in awesomness than obscura.. I love this album. It is rich with emotion, which is hard to find in bands with similar ambitions.
