Dude, this isn't the worst song on Selling England, that's easily a reward saved for I Know What I Like.

Side A of 'Selling England' is perfection, and this song is a huge reason for it. It's a gorgeous coda that holds up as a great song in its own right. You definitely don't need to listen to it in context to enjoy it, and that's a hard thing to find in the world of progressive rock.

One of my most prized LPs. I even went out and bought the CD just to help preserve it. (The CD doesn't have the same bass as the LP. Perhaps it's my cartridge?)

This song works very nice as an interlude between two epic tracks and captures the overall gentle, pastoral mood of the album. But by itself it doesn't amount to very much.

I saw Phil do this live on the 'Selling England by the Pound' tour in Miami, Fla. in the early seventies when Peter Gabriel was taking a break after one of his theatrical masterpieces in one of the greatist concerts that I attended. But God does cut suck, especially live.

Yes technically the worst song on this masterpiece, but I'd say another way: least exceptional. because this is a great little song. It just happens to be the simplest song and it's sung by Phil Collins

Not that bad of a song if you ask me. Not the peak on the SEBTP album, but pleasant nonetheless. And correct me if I'm wrong... but one would have been hard pressed AT THE TIME to guess that Genesis would turn into a pop group 8 years later or so! So don't blame it too much on Collins, even though most of his subsequent output (with Genesis or solo) was much on the wrong side of mainstream, so to say...
