Funeral For A Friend fait fondre tout le monde mais pas en larmes ! Ce groupe venu du Pays de Galles et qui se sent proche de Hundred Reasons, Boy Sets Fire ou Jimmy Eat World vient de sortir (26 août 2002) un premier maxi qui les place directement dans nos têtes pour longtemps… January Thirst split en décembre 2001, le groupe prend seulement un nouveau chanteur et change de nom pr FFAF. Sur le son de leur démo, ils sont signés chez Mighty Atom Records … (ils sont aujourd’hui chez Infectious Records/Warner) Le groupe a enregistré avec Joe Gibb (Jane’s Addiction, Catatonia) ce Between order and model en 3 jours ! Matt Davies assure le chant, son frère (?) Gareth la basse, Kris Roberts et Darren Smith (après Kerry Roberts) les guitares, Ryan Richards la batterie (il a remplacé Johnny Phillips).En 2005, le groupe revient dans les bacs avec le disque Hours.
