Alex Chilton: 19 Years (Rhino comp - never really bothered to pick this up before but seeing that it has a few Big Star Third tracks - and no other Big Star tracks - made me want to compare these masterings with all the others I have of that album. Plus, it's quite a decent comp.)

Zambri is a duo comprised of twin sisters Cristi Jo and Jessica Zambri. We already mentioned their recent Glossolalia EP, out now on Kanine Records. Just a few hours ago Stereogum premiered their beautiful new video for ‘To Keep Back’, directed by Meringuemeringue. And now we give you a very special mix by Zambri! Sweet, but slightly weird. Just like their music.
This is what Cristi Jo told us about the mix: “I find this mix really nice to listen to alone, but it’s also really friendly. Consider passing around (sharing) your favorite drink. You might have a light, but very important night. Choose the right people, and if you close your eyes, make sure your friend’s eyes are open just in case of something extraordinary. It felt good to be back on the radio after my Thanksgiving-related absence. I was in Vegas, doing the things one does in Vegas. I'm legally not allowed to tell you about it, though. That "what happens in Vegas" thing isn't just a clever marketing slogan. It's a law. Who knew?

Our most recent release, the début self-titled album by The Council Flats Of Kingsbury, has been going down a storm. Radio support from the likes of Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Don Letts (BBC 6Music), John Kennedy (XFM), ChillFM, Anothernicemess (Netherlands) and WFMU (New York). Cracking reviews. Punters foaming at the mouth to get their mitts on the hand-numbered limited edition vinyl. Well, here's some more suburban goodness from the man like Colin Kavanagh, a fresh mix of the sort of stuff that gets him all excited.
