Flo Rida est un rappeur américain, il est né le 16 décembre 1979 en Floride. Son nom Flo Rida est issu du nom de l’état de Floride (sud-est des États-Unis). Il est d’abord apparu dans des mixtapes dès 2006, puis sur l’album de DJ Khaled, We the Best, sur le titre Bitch I’m From Dade Country. Il sort sa première mixtape en 2007, intitulée Mr. Birthday Man qui est mixé par DJ Khaled. Puis il sort Birthday (featuring Rick Ross) suivi de Low (feat. T-Pain) et de Elevator (feat. Timbaland), extraits de son premier album Mail on Sunday qui sortira le 18 mars 2008. Le single Low en collaboration avec T-Pain qui était la chanson la plus téléchargée sur iTunes en novembre 2007 et qui était #1 au Billboard Hot 100. L’album Mail on Sunday est sorti 18 mars 2008 aux États-Unis.

Ancien basketteur professionnel natif de Carol City en Floride, il a été remarqué et immédiatement signé par le prestigieux label Poe Boy Entertainment basé à Miami (sur lequel est également signé Rick Ross).


Avec les featurings de T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Timbaland, Sean Kingston, Will.I.Am, Yung Joc, Rick Ross, Trey Songz…
