Lun. 15 août – Fishbone, Framix, La Danse Du Chien

Le 15 août à Paris a toujours eu des allures de couvre-feu. Les portables y sonnent dans le vide, il y a plus d’ombres que de silhouettes dans les rues, les meilleurs bars sont fermés, et on trouve même des places assises dans le métro comme le faisait remarquer en son temps Fabe. Bref, un jour d’ennui de farniente (soyons positifs) en guise de fin moite et soupirante d’un week-end de trois jours où quelques parisiens ont vainement déambulés à la recherche du meilleur. Une quête qui, pour arriver à son terme et être réussie, ne pouvait que se terminer à La Plage du Glazart, où Fishbone était en concert.

Qu’il soit accoudé au zinc ou encore trépignant d’impatience dans la file d’attente, l’amateur de bon concert présent ici ce soir sait donc qu’il n’est pas là par hasard. Si on décorait les musiciens comme on décore les militaires ou les sportifs, Fishbone et ses membres trimbaleraient une sacré cargaison de breloques autour du cou et sur leurs costumes.

Edit 9/10/2011: Went to the Jack FM show featuring Def Leppard, Heart, Dramarama, Everclear, Marcy Playground and Sir Mix-A-Lot, totally fun show and Def Leppard and Heart totally kicked ass!

Edit 10/17/2011: Foo Fighters and Cage the Elephant @ The Forum on 10/14. Dave Grohl sat in for drums on Cage the Elephant. Foo Fighters performed for almost 3 hours, concert was awesome, I may have to start picking up some of their albums now, Dave Grohl rocks!

Edit 1/25/2012: Went to two shows, one on Saturday the 21st Nightwish, Amorphis and Dommin and on Tuesday the 24th saw Lucinda Williams and Blake Mills. Both were great shows.

Edit 2/27/2012: Added a check mark to Laura Veirs, saw her at the Dragon Fly Doulou shop in Los Angeles on 2/26 with the Tumblebees, originally was slated to perform at Largo which was cancelled and instead gave us a free performance. …
