Biographie

Album covers matter a lot. Not all people in the digital world see the art behind the album cover. Sure you might be able to get the cover art online but Vinyl records are larger and when someone uses cheap software or can't tell the difference when applying the cover art on a vinyl insert is just either lazy or don't care that much, instead of checking the work they just cut-paste quickly to get it out to the street for money.

nah, broz, sorry but when the little people on the cover are visibily pixellated and there's obvious posterization happening in the highlights, someone done fucked up. i'm not talking about raw, minimalistic cover art here, i'm talking about an obvious fuckup because they had some fresh-off-the-boat art design intern who couldn't figure out the difference between the 300 dpi cover art and the 72 dpi saved for web thumbnail. say what you will, it's an obvious (and really amateurish) design flaw and it lessens the vinyl package as a whole.

Great looking cover art is a nice bonus, but it should just be that; something extra that comes with the already amazing product.

Yeah, man, who cares about covers, it's totally ungrim to have a competently printed cover in good quality. Art design is gay and totally un-Viking. Their next album should feature clipped newspaper letters on a matte black background. The letters should be clipped from articles about church burnings.

Honestly, I couldn't give a fuck about the cover art. If you're more concerned with the way the cover looks than the way the record sounds, you're doing vinyl wrong.

So I finally got my LPs imo. Monumension and Below the Lights are fuckin gorgeous. Blodhemn, though, fuck that reissue. They must've fucked up the cover art file when they sent it to print, because it came out pixellated and posterized as fuck. They must've either used a 72 dpi image file or sent a really low res copy to the printer. The result is that the cover looks like absolute fuckin dogshit. Basically, if you're trolling on Ebay for a Blodhemn vinyl, don't buy the reissue.

Also I've been ordering their shit on vinyl. RIITIIR has gorgeous art. Still waiting for Below the Lights, Monumension and Blodhemn though. If only I could find Mardraum on vinyl, my search would finally be complete :(

I'm kinda sick of Blodhemn being largely ignored, tbqh. It's one of their best albums. It's angry and blasty as fuck, it has awesome riffs, even awesomer solos, is pretty goddamn catchy for what it is and is 39 minutes long. And it has a badass cover. How about you take 39 minutes out of your goddamn day and listen to this fuckin album on headphones and learn to appreciate an awesome black metal album when you fuckin hear it you ungrateful, spoiled shits. Ok thank u I luv u, god bless

One of the best gems that came from Norwegian black metal scene. I like the way they progressed into something entirely different and amazing when they done all there was to do with with their starting style. And what they did at the beginning is amazing too. [5] I would like to add that Enslaved are probably the most consistently brilliant all the Norwegian black metal bands. They haven't fallen from the path of excellence - unlike most bands from the second wave of black metal. So much respect to them.
