I second the Nick Drake comparison.

he's clearly one of your influences. but the narrative quality distinguishes you from his poetic approach. i don't think it's "boring" but its a lot less eccentric. that's not a bad thing. andrew bird kind of has his schtick, you know? i would like a larger range of pitch though. your instruments are really interesting, your vocals, not so much.

Sounds pretty good, I like. but as marcorenton says, its a little frustrating with only a 30 second preview!

it's a lot more somber. a lot more boring.

Sure, a bit of the background music sounds like Andrew Bird. The violins, for the most part. A little too slow, even for him. And your voice sounds a hair more refined than his, but it definitely sounds good =)

I liked the strings, that was sort of similar to Bird but I guess you could say that about a lot of orchestral music. Reading back on the coments though, I concur with the Nick Drake similarities but it's better that you have your own originality too.

I definitely can feel where people are coming from comparing you to Andrew Bird. The haunting feel and sparse, yet orchestral sound play that up pretty well. If I were to start describing differences I'd start from saying you're a lot more literal to his whimsy in both lyric and sound and roll from there. What you've got here is fantastic. Particularly, I'm drawn to the intimacy of this song compared to the poppier vibe in other songs you have here such as Love Song. The Locust also has a lot of that appeal even with the quicker pace.

Yeah, you two have a lot in common. But it was too little for me to have a clear idea of how you sound. How can I hear more?

Does sound a little like Andrew. I agree though, sounds more like Nick Drake than Mr. Bird. Lovely though, I''d like to hear more!

No, no. Not much like andrew bird. Even less like iron and wine. I would say more like orchestral Nick Drake. Even your voice and some of the lyrics sound like they're coming from his mouth.

I don't think your voice sounds Andrew Bird, more like the string section and plucking. It would be nice to hear some more however. :) Elliot smith a bit yeah, but as I said, like to hear more. btw I also make music, do you think it resembles any artist?

This reminds me a lot of Andrew Bird, especially the voice. The music kind of reminds me of Sufjan Stevens, Cloud Cult, and a couple of tracks by Thee More Shallows. I like it a lot!
