The bio is wrong, Portnoy recorded blast beats in Honor Thy Father as well! I'm not sure if that's the 1st time or not, but I just though I'd throw in that this is not the 1st time he's recorded blast beats

It's a great song, but unfortunately Portnoy brings it down with his "grunts" or whatever I shall call it.. You know what I mean. But I guess it's better than if LaBrie tried to "sing" it that way. Otherwise (like I've said), it's a great song. It has a lot of magic moments.

Only they could take a beautiful idea and suffocate it under typical METAL riffs and instrumental showcasing. Try not to respond angrily, I am just wondering where they are going right now... to me it seems they're moving in circles, trying to go back to whats worked in the past, which would make them not progressive anymore

I just love the parts 5.00-8.35 and 12.15-13.10. Just great. Also very good live perfomance, great song to open a gig (though ITPOE part 1 would be even better imo). Portnoy sings his part live sicky, vn mr portnoy Best song of 2009 imo.

Pretty good, I just didn't like the sound clips, the shouting/growling section, and the extended solos. Take those out, and this would be fantastic.
