Their masterpiece. I wish DT could record an album as brilliant as this one.

The Dance of Eternity is possibly one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard. The only one that tops it is the Instrumedley, and that's DT as well. And just a medley of the best part of their instrumentals.

Somewhere on this album it sounds like Metallica's To Live Is To Die. Listen from 4:29. Help me, I can't remeber which song.

funny tags (classic rock? progressive jazz fusion metal?), funny song titles (I will not tag my songs with Act - Scene)

Meh, this album is ok. Too many ballads for me, though. Overture 1928 and Dance Of Eternity are sweet instrumentals. Beyond This Life and Home are the best tracks though. For a concept album, though, this is absolutely groundbreaking and backbreaking. Truly, I&W found Dream Theater's style, Metropolis, Pt. 2 masters it.

I think this album is #94 on the American "Best Albums" list, or whatever it is called, but Images & Words is THE best album from DT!!!
