ElGatoAmarillo @Quentin3: you should try to track down Essential Mix 98/01, which is a re-working of a session he did for BBC Radio 1. I think it's deleted, so is quite expensive second-hand, but it's worth every penny!

Quentin3 Are there any other mix-albums where holmes (or anybody else) mainly mixed some old soul songs besides (!) come on get it? i love that one so much, but his other albums seem to contain mainly chillout-songs (not that it is bad, but i'm in search for great soul mixes).

psimonic I used to play David Holmes in the lobby of an independent cinema I worked at. It was a real kick to watch people's ears literally prick up as they heard the album. When they asked what it was; I'd grin and tell 'em: "This Film's crap - let's slash the seats"
