I've never been able to decide between this and Aladdin Sane, all I know is that Sweet Thing/Canditate/Sweet Thing (Reprise) is amongst the absolute best of Bowie.

David Bowie has always been one of my favorites, noted for his unique styles and sometimes cryptic lyrics. However, I am disappointed that in the songs listed in this TRACKLIST for Diamond Dogs, the version of Rebel, Rebel is NOT the one on the original album. I know that for a fact because I had this album and nearly wore it out! THAT version is much, much better than the one listed. Diamond Dogs was my favorite Bowie album.

Me too:) Besides, when he released Outside he said in one of the interviews that Diamond Dogs is one of the best albums he recorded. And it's true

i don't think it's ''underrated'' it's just that it was right after ''ziggy stardust & the spiders of mars'' ''Aladinn sane'' it was different then the other albums, darker. I think the fans of Bowie, included me learn too respect this album as one of his best

I love how Bowie played all of the guitar on this album (except for part of 1984, apparently). One of his most underrated albums!
